Digital Coast puts an engineered Polynesian print in navy on HIC's 8-way Octo-Stretch fabric. You get a 20-inch outseam, a quick-dry, water-repellent coating and a side zip pocket with a wax comb string.

The print
An engineered print, placed panel by panel.
Digital Coast's print is laid out for these shorts instead of repeated like fabric off a roll: a Polynesian band at the waist, a blue fade down the leg and a pixel pattern at the hem.
The stretch
Stretch that moves the way you do.
Most board shorts stretch four ways: side to side and up and down. HIC's 8-way Octo Stretch adds the diagonals, so the fabric gives when you pop up, paddle or dive for a ball instead of pulling at the seams.
The build
Small details you'll notice every time you put them on.

Which size should I order?
Measure your waist where the shorts will sit, just below the belly button. Email jz@mauishirts.com with that number and we'll measure a pair from our shelf and tell you which size fits.
How long are they?
20-inch outseam, measured from the top of the waistband to the hem. That's an inch shorter than our 21-inch Kanaha and the same length as the Ua Huka.
Is there a pocket?
Yes. A side zipper pocket, with a wax comb string attached inside.
When will my order arrive?
Weekday orders placed by 1 PM HST ship the same day from Wailuku. Free Standard shipping (USPS) takes 5–7 business days after your order ships. USPS Priority (3–5 business days) and FedEx 2Day are available at checkout.
What if they don't fit?
Exchange them within 30 days of delivery with no restocking fee. They need to be unworn and unwashed with the tags on. If you'd rather have a refund, there's a 15% restocking fee. Email jz@mauishirts.com first and we'll walk you through it. Read the full policy.
