Generals run from a 28 waist up to a 60, and every size gets the same 8-way Octo Stretch fabric, UPF 50+ sun protection and low-rise surfer fit.
The stretch
Stretch that moves the way you do.
Most board shorts stretch four ways: side to side and up and down. HIC's 8-way Octo Stretch adds the diagonals, so the fabric gives when you pop up, paddle or dive for a ball instead of pulling at the seams.

Which size should I order?
Measure your waist where the shorts will sit, just below the belly button. Email jz@mauishirts.com with that number and we'll measure a pair from our shelf and tell you which size fits.
How are the Generals different from the Kanaha?
Generals have a 20-inch outseam (the Kanaha is 21 inches), come in three solid colors instead of a print, and run in waist sizes 28 to 60.
When will my order arrive?
Weekday orders placed by 1 PM HST ship the same day from Wailuku. Free Standard shipping (USPS) takes 5–7 business days after your order ships. USPS Priority (3–5 business days) and FedEx 2Day are available at checkout.
What if they don't fit?
Exchange them within 30 days of delivery with no restocking fee. They need to be unworn and unwashed with the tags on. If you'd rather have a refund, there's a 15% restocking fee. Email jz@mauishirts.com first and we'll walk you through it. Read the full policy.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes, to 26 countries. International rates start at $29.99 and are shown at checkout. Duties and taxes are paid by the buyer.
